Build-a-Buddy Clay Figurine Workshop

Course Description

This beginner-friendly 2hr workshop will guide you in building your very own little clay creature figurine (lovingly referred to as "lil' guys" in the Shapeshift universe). Pets! Pizza rats! Pigeons! Fish! Aliens! A figment of your imagination come to life! They're all welcome here. Absolutely no experience is necessary, and all materials are included! Meg Fu, the awesome pottery teacher and artist, will guide you through the basics, share tools + tips, and then set you free to explore and create. You will be working with white stoneware and a wide variety of underglazes. We will then slowly dry and fire your work in our kiln and have it ready for you to come pick up! (usually 3-4 weeks) Not every ceramic work comes out of the kiln exactly how we imagine. However, the process and the imperfections are what make your work unique. Come as you are, meet new friends, take several deep breaths, and dip your toe into the beautifully messy world of clay.
