Course Description

Have you been looking to try your hand at ceramics? We would love to have you for our Beginner Handbuilding course at Still life! In this six week course, Anjuli’s tutorials cover the basics of handbuilding including pinching, coils, slabs, glazing and more. She will also provide guidance as you explore these techniques during class time, building your own ceramic creations. Bring your creativity and don’t be afraid to make mistakes! (: Zero experience is required for this course! (However, if you have some experience and would like to try ceramics at Still life or this time works best for you, please feel free to sign up as well!) Sessions are 3 hours, Sunday Mornings from 10am - 1pm. All Clay and Glaze materials are included with the course. Kiln firing fee are $.04 per cubic inch (Bisque and Glaze included) We have an assortment of community sculpting tools available in our studio, but we recommend also bringing some of your own if you would like.
