Course Description
Have you taken some sort of Handbuilding course in the past and want to further explore foundational techniques or maybe test your skills on a more complicated ceramic creation you have in mine? If so our new Open Level Ceramics course at Still life may be perfect for you! In this six week course, Anjuli’s tutorials will focus on a deeper understanding and control of fundamental handbuilding techniques such as slabs, coils, pinch, and glazing. You are also encouraged to push yourself creatively and technically developing your ceramics projects —as Anjuli can help with specific questions or guidance in realizing your ideas! (: This class is good for and open to a range of experience levels, however, if you have never taken a Beginner Handbuilding course anywhere we do recommend you sign up for our Beginner Level Ceramics instead. Sessions are 3 hours, Wednesday Evenings from 6pm - 9pm. All Clay and Glaze materials are included with the course. Kiln firing fee are $.04 per cubic inch (Bisque and Glaze included) We have an assortment of community sculpting tools available in our studio, but we recommend also bringing some of your own if you would like. Extra open studio hours will be available to come in and work on your pieces outside of class time. The schedule for these sessions will be announce after the first course session. **Please note the studio will be on break for Fourth of July weekend and there is no class Wednesday July 1st**
