THE ZEN OF CONSUMPTION

Don’t buy more than you can use; use everything you buy.

I love that statement.  And will endeavor to adhere to it.  I find that it works particularly well when considering the purchase of many items that are non-essential, like that extra this-or-that for the house.

Perhaps you have a few ideas for lowering consumption and saving money – essentially just not being wasteful of it.  The Consumerist has posted more than 100 cost saving ideas submitted by readers. I find some of them a bit silly, a couple even ridiculous – but many are darn good thoughts to consider.  A couple I may even implement soon!
